Star Style Latest - GQ (Wo)Men of the Year Awards
It may have been the GQ Men of the Year Awards, but it was the women in attendance that stole the show from their male counterparts. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the annual awards party took place at the Royal Opera House in London's Covent Garden last night, and attracted the cremè de la cremè of the celebrity world, including Madonna, Sir Elton John and Gordon Ramsey. Battling their way to the top of our Best Dressed list, it was the return of the supermodel with beauties Elle MacPherson, Naomi Campbell and Helena Christensen gracing the red carpet. Elle lived by the old adage "if you've got it, flaunt it" in a super-short, body-con electric blue bandeau dress paired with contrasting white heels and clutch bag - what more would you expect from "The Body"? Naomi went for a backless halterneck dress with full feathered skirt - very next season - whilst Helena was statuesque in a floor length white gown complete with thigh-high slit. Viva la Supermodel.
The ladies from the worlds of film and music gave an equally good show, with Natalie Imbruglia, Kelly Brook and Lily Allen all turning out in their best frocks. With her new album launching today, Natalie looked to be in high-spirits in a black embellished shift dress and bright green heels. Kelly and Lily meanwhile both went for shades of red. Kelly chose a crisp two-tone number with patent mini-bag and fabulous Miu Miu double strap Mary-Janes (oh, how we love them) whilst Lily, in a move away from her usual prom dress style, opted for floor length pillar-box red. With her glossy fringe and trademark flick of eyeliner, we think she looks classic. All-in-all a fab turn out from the girls - they certainly did us proud.
And if you're at all interested in what the men wore and won, you can find all the details on GQ.com.
