We've spotted Lindsay in one on at least three occasions, and it's easy to see why pussybow dresses are such an A-list hit. Ladies and Gentleman...we are proud to announce the return of Kate Moss.
She's been keeping rather a low profile since chucking her scoundrel boyfriend out onto the street (and by "keeping a low profile" we mean we haven't heard a peep from the supermodel for days - we've been getting serious Missing-Moss Syndrome). So a big whoop of joy went around the office this morning when pictures of the lovely Kate landed in our inbox, looking healthy, relaxed...and dare we say happy? The icon visited a Richmond pub with friends including Welsh actor Rhys Ifan wearing a classic Kate outfit - skinny jeans tucked into black boots, a simple vest top and edgy jacket teamed with a studded belt, skinny scarf, trilby hat (TM Kate Moss, surely!?) and a Balenciaga bag. And whilst her outfit won't make waves in World Fashion, it's good to see her back to her best. After downing a few pints and enjoying a pub lunch, the model and her gang headed to the local ice cream van where Kate bought a round of Mr Whippys, which they ate in Kate's newly-purchased Rolls-Royce. As ever, we like her style - when you're healing a broken heart, what better cure is there than retail therapy, ice cream and hanging out with your friends?

The 23-year old model-turned-entrepreneur's clip-in natural hair extensions come in 4 different lengths and colours, and are a more hair-friendly alternative to their glue-in counterparts. There's no avoiding it - The Simpsons Movie is going to be the biggest cinematic event of the year, and with Madge and Co starring in their very own Harper's Bazaar spread, big blue hair and donuts have never been so cool. Well, maybe not the blue hair. But definitely the donuts...
3 - Mahiki
It's gained a bit of a reputation over the recent months as a bit of a royal playground, with Kate 'n' Wills and Harry 'n' Chelsey all crossing it's threshold, but it's not just the toffs that come out to play at Mahiki - with celebs including Girls Aloud, Mischa Barton and Paris Hilton partying there, Mahiki is still very much an A-List haunt. We're particularly partial to one of their Ultimate Mai Tais (or 4).

No, not the film. Instead we refer to the cringy snaps of TomKat dancing at Posh and Becks' Welcome To America party captured by US Weekly. We turned the same colour as Katie's beautiful dress just looking at the pictures - the words "embarrassing" and "dad" spring to mind...

After weeks and weeks of nothing but rain, we finally got a few rays of sun this weekend - and to celebrate the celebs were out in force...
NBF's (that's New Best Friends, obv) Fearne Cotton and Holly Willoughby enjoyed a choc ice or two to the sounds of The Holloways and The Ordinary Boys at Ben & Jerry's Sundae on the Common in Clapham yesterday (our spies at the gig say Preston was looking FIT and The Holloways were one of the best live bands they'd seen recently). Whilst we're sure Fearne was kicking herself for wearing a big woolly hat and Ugg boots on the sunniest weekend of the summer so far, she needn't sweat it - in her skinny jeans and stripy tee, we think she looks great (and more than a little Sienna, doncha think?). Ever the girlie-girl, her partner-in-crime Holly opted for a frill-edged cream sundress over jeans, teamed with a great pair of embellished sandals and oversized sunglasses.
The night before, Sophie Ellis-Bextor rocked London hotspot G-A-Y. Never afraid of experimenting with her look, Sophie wowed the crowd with two striking stage outfits. Her first look saw her working next season's exaggerated embellishment trend in a dazzling all-over sequin dress - absolutely loving the massive bow. Then it was quick change into the shortest of mini skirts (we hope she was wearing a good pair of shorts, otherwise the gentlemen in the audience would have been in for a treat!). Whilst we wouldn't advocate the wearing of Minnie Mouse ears in public of anyone over the age of 5, the clashing bold colours work really well - and just check out those fabulous stacked shoes.
Our love of Joshua Jackson has been reunited of late, thanks to a) re-runs of Dawson's Creek on Five Life, and b) the numerous pictures of Josh with new lady Diane Kruger looking all loved-up we've been privy to in recent weeks. This weekend saw the couple out and about again, this time at the grandly-titled Cartier International Day at Guards Polo Club in Egham. Diane was as stunning as we've come to expect in a great deep purple plunge neck dress cinched with a black patent belt and quite simply AMAZING studded heels. Ooh, some girls have all the luck...
Under the fashion microscope this week - Kate Middleton at Mahiki last night
We Say - Miss M may have reunited with her royal beau, but this time round she's thrown caution to the fashion wind, finally dumping those tweeds and pearls for a look that suits her age. In a perfect ensemble for cocktails at London hot spot Mahiki, Kate looks youthful, just edgy enough and glamorous - without ever straying into tarty territory. Not only that, but she's bang on autumn/winter 2007s trend for out sized crystals and dresses smothered in sequins, as seen at Dolce and Gabbana and Alberta Ferretti. A shining example. You Say -
Kate Middleton certainly has the figure to pull this dress off, and it can't be denied that she looks dazzling (although this may be the effect of the flash reflecting in the copious amount of sequins). The ribbon nips the dress in nicely at the waist to create a flattering and feminine shape, which along with her trademark glossy hair and smile fit for a queen almost completes the outfit. If only she'd left her pal with the stonewashed denim jacket, circa 1990, at home! |

Another day, another stellar outfit from Sienna Miller. The actress has been wowing residents of New York City of late, where she is currently residing, with a string of fabulous "out and about" outfits. This one was no exception - a simple black playsuit teamed with a brown belt and flat gladiator sandals that harked back to the Sienna Golden Age, along with a classic quilted bag and the sunglasses she is so fond of at the moment. With style this good, we can't wait to get hold of her Twenty8Twelve collection - don't worry, it's due on site soon ladies!
Meanwhile over in LA, Paris Hilton added another precious pooch to her rapidly expanding collection. The male Chihuahua, which is yet to be named (but we're on the edge of our seat, natch), will join her other dogs Cinderella, a Yorkie, and another Chihuahua named Tinkerbell. For the outing, Paris wore faded skinny jeans tucked into boots and a great hot pink top complete with oversized bow detail (which we're loving, by the way).
We always knew that we were inherently stylish - how else do you explain the fact that we were wearing the latest hot celeb trend when we were still in nappies? And then again when we were 14? Granted, the first time round was to avoid any stray spoonfuls of baby food spoiling our nice new baby-grow and the latter time was in PE at school, running around a netball court like the adolescent maniacs we were. But still, that's beside the point.
Guessed what it is yet? Yes - bib front tops and dresses are all the rage at the moment. Seen on the Chanel spring/summer '07 catwalk, celebs everywhere have been quick to catch-on to this trend. From Nicole Richie's subtle bib detailing, Mischa's folky florals, Chanel-inspired black and white like Michelle Williams or full-on embellishment in the style of our very own Cat Deeley, a bib front is a classic way of adding an edgy element to the simplest of outfits.
There have been rumblings for as long as we can remember in Hollywood that Hilary Duff's big sister, Haylie, could well emerge as the bigger star of the siblings. Whether this prophecy will be realised remains to be seen, but judging from this serene, on-trend outfit the older Duff wore to last night's Lucky Magazine party at LA's hip Chateau Marmont, Haylie is already throwing down the gauntlet to her sister in the style stakes. Her simple white maxi dress is given an injection of glamour with a deep tan, a long necklace and plenty of stacked silver bangles.
Also in attendance at the party was former Lost star Maggie Grace. The newly-brunette starlet worked one of the latest trends of the season in a voluminous black dress with pockets and a matching black belt to nip the waist. The zebra print shoes and delicate drop earrings add detail and save the outfit from looking too boring. Top marks, Maggie.
There was a serious case of "Ooh! Cute Dress Alert!" at the premiere of Matt Damon's latest film, The Bourne Ultimatum, also taking place in LA last night. Actress Jennifer Garner was on the red carpet, demonstrating just how monochrome should be worn. Looking chic and classic in a simple colour block shift dress, yet still incredibly sexy with her glossy hair and towering peep toes, Jen did husband Ben Affleck proud.
And finally...the premiere of The Simpsons Movie hit London last night and, as you'd expect, was a thoroughly silly affair. Following the recent spread in Harper's Bizarre which saw Homer, Marge, Bart and Lisa modelling items from recent collections from design houses including Chanel, Lanvin and Louis Vuitton and alongside "Simpsonised" versions of Linda Evangelista, Karl Lagerfeld and Marc Jacobs, "Lily Allen" was out on the red carpet in a purple tiered dress, bow hairband and her trademark trainers. Genius!
There's no doubting Maggie Gyllenhaal's fashion credentials - as a regular front-row attendee at Marc Jacobs, the former face of Miu Miu and soon to replace the World's Favourite Fashionista Kate Moss as the face of lingerie brand Agent Provocateur, Jake's big sister has proved her worth.
Not that it's difficult when you're working with a fabulous, curvaceous figure, big doe-eyes, a beautiful heart-shaped face and jutting cheekbones. Refreshingly, Maggie bucks the usual Hollywood trends in favour of a more edgy, Forties-influenced look. On the red carpet she chooses interesting shapes and cuts from directional designers such as Proenza Schouler, whilst dressed down her look remains chic in simple day dresses and flat sandals (pretty and practical now that she's a "mom"). Beauty-wise, hair tied in Heidi plaits of a slick of red lipstick add a quirky edge to her look.
And with a move away from her usual indie films into blockbusters next year in The Dark Knight, the sequel to Batman Begins in which she replaces Katie Holmes, Ms Gyllenhaal's star seems set to keep on rising.
Cool and casual was the order of the day in World Celeb yesterday (well, it was only a Tuesday). Victoria Beckham did what she does best and spent the day shopping with David and Romeo (incidentally, did you see the latest Brand Beckham documentary last night, David Beckham: New Beginnings? We love him all over again). It seems as though Victoria may have finally heeded the ways of LA, as for the first time since she moved there she dressed down, opting for skinny jeans and a simple vest top - she may even be wearing flats, though we can't quite tell from the picture. She managed to maintained an element of Classic Posh however as she couldn't quite be parted from her Hermès bag (seriously, does she have one in every colour?).
On the other side of America, Sienna Miller stepped out in the New York sunshine wearing a similar outfit, tucking her skinny jeans into a pair of long boots and layering up with a couple of vests and a long leopard print scarf. We adore her pink-armed sunglasses.
Meanwhile back in the UK, Natasha Bedingfield attended the London premiere of Transformers in a printed off-the-shoulder tee and a great pair of coloured jeans, one of this season's hottest trends, and a pair of metallic heels.

It's good to know that it's not just us mere mortals that suffer from bad hair days...Cameron Diaz popped out to the hairdressers yesterday, looking not quite as stunningly beautiful as usual. In fact, she was looking pretty grim. Her hair was dull, scraped back and in need of a good shampoo. But we all know how these things happen - you know you're due a trip to the salon, but you've got 101 things going on. So you leave it a week...then two...then three...and before you know it you're looking less Hollywood starlet and more greasy chavlet. Obviously when you're a celebrity, with A-List parties to hit, movies to shoot and premieres to attend, it's even harder to schedule your usual root touch up and trim...which explains this "before" picture of the usually lovely Cam. So dire was the state of her mane that she had to ask her stylist to re-dye it three times (yes, THREE times - that's a whole lot of foil) because she wasn't happy with the first results. Still, dye it three times her stylist did, and Cam was restored to her usual gorgeousness. There's a lesson to be learnt here ladies - get that hair appointment booked now (and nab yourself a gorgeous studded bag like hers while you're at it too - we love it).
1 - Pink - Posh seems to have kick started a trend with the "pretty in pink" Roland Mouret dress she wore in LA recently...the perfect antidote to the gloomy outdoors, pink is our colour du jour.
2 - Theme Parks - Brad and Angelina reportedly spent the weekend with the kids at a French theme park, where Brad played on the bouncy castle - is it wrong to find that totally hot? Now that Britain's theme parks are open for the summer, we can't wait to ride the loop-the-loop, get soaked on the log flume and generally act like a child again.
3 - Movie Marathons - we spent yesterday watching Desperately Seeking Susan (Madonna at her best) and Titanic (our love affair with Leo is rekindled) - next weekend we're set for old classic Turner and Hooch, The Parent Trap (the original Hayley Mills version, not the Lindsay Lohan remake) and Charlie's Angels. Heaven.
1 - Men - Gavin groping some girl whilst Charl's in the family way; Frank doing the dirty on Elen; Calum chucking Lindsay because she's too "boring" since her spell in rehab - seriously guys, not cool.
2 - Cat Fights - Whilst Maggie Gyllenhall has been laying in to Katie Holmes, calling her "some generic lady in a dress", Posh has been having a go at Paris. On hearing that the socialite was keen to meet up with her, VB reportedly exclaimed "Over my dead body! We couldn’t be more different. You won’t catch me falling out of nightclubs with no knickers on.” Come on ladies - whatever happened to girl power?
3 - Tights - there we were at the till, clutching a pair of tights and ready to pay when it struck us - it's July! And we're considering buying TIGHTS! We're not quite ready to succumb to the weather yet - our legs will remain bare. So what if we're cold...?
Driving on the right hand side of the road. Eating pancakes for breakfast. Saying "faucet" instead of tap. Just a few of the way in which the Americans differ to us Brits.
And then there's the football matches...sorry, soccer matches. Whilst here in Blighty, footie matches generally involve pot-bellied men drinking lager, eating pies and slagging off the rival team at the top of the voices, they do thing a little differently in the good ol' US of A - especially when LA's hottest hunk, David Beckham, is playing his first game for new team LA Galaxy against old rivals Chelsea. The stars turned out en masse for the spectacle (which is the only word to describe the event), posing and pouting for the waiting paparazzi (paparazzi? At a football match!?). Amongst the best dressed in attendance was Mary-Kate Olsen, who looked the archetypal footie fan in skinny jeans, rock tee, sky-high platform heels and Prada Fringe bag.
Also clutching a VIP pass was actress Alicia Silverstone, who looked slightly more casual (but just as "not-here-for-the-footie-here-for-the-show") in a great green tee - loving this colour on her - with a printed leopard motif, a casual pair of jeans and nude peep toe heels.
Once the match was over (Galaxy lost 1-0, if you're at all interested, with Beckham only on the pitch for 13 minutes), it was On With The Show! The Beckhams' NBFs Tom and Katie Holmes joined forces with funny man Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett-Smith to host a "Welcome to LA" party for David and Victoria. Being the guest of honour (and, erm, Victoria) Posh opted for a show-stopping black tutu style mini dress paired with a towering pair of raffia heels, whilst David wore a smart grey suit and a big cheesy grin.
The party attracted everyone who's anyone in World Celeb, with songstress Rihanna turning out in a trés on-trend high-waisted skirt worn with a sequinned vest and pointy black heels. Newlywed Eva Longoria was also in attendance, looking all loved-up and glowing in a yellow puffball dress and contrasting green heels.
From LA to Weston-Super-Mare (oh, the glamour) - this side of the Atlantic T4 on the Beach took place and, from the looks of things, celebs are already working next season's trend of nipped in waists. Posh popster Sophie Ellis-Bextor chose a bright pink belt to cinch in her monochrome printed mini dress (which, in the blustery conditions, left her rather red-faced we're sorry to say), whilst Natasha Beddingfield wore a thick metallic belt over her bright blue dress and leggings.
And finally...we couldn't today's round up of celeb outfits without mentioning the fabulous Debbie Harry. Performing with Blondie at this weekend's Lovebox festival in London, the 62-year old proved style is ageless as she rocked the stage in a great black and white stripe dress with an electric blue shrug and white sunglasses. The original punk princess - what a legend.

A Hollywood starlet not completely over-styled and pouting for the paps - how refreshing. She may not make the fashion pages as often as her OC pal Mischa Barton, but Rachel Bilson proves she is just as fashion savvy in this great outfit. The navy jersey dress is stunning in it's simplicity, with the gentle draping at the bust creating a flattering shape. The big sunglasses, oversized designer bag and wide belt add just enough polish to keep her from looking too casual. Some people might say it verges on boring - we say Rachel epitomises casual cool.

Rachel Bilson shows us she is the Queen of Laid Back Chic in this outfit. This girl knows how to combine comfort with understated glamour and makes sure she never blends into the background. This outfit also shows that you do not have to drape yourself in this season's accessories to look up-to-date and part of the fashion pack. All in all this is the perfect outfit for looking glam in the city.

Last night saw Grazia magazine's annual O2X Awards, which honour successful female entrepreneurs; as the team at Grazia describe them, women who have "why-didn't-I-think-of-that" ideas. From viewing the pics from the event, we were left with serious "why-didn't-I-buy-that" syndrome when we spied these lovely ladies...
Thandie Newton dazzled (as ever) in a simple but incredibly sexy black shift dress with an amazing silver jewelled bib insert. Bib front tops and dresses are going to be big news next season, so it's no surprise that Thandie's already working the look. Teamed with glittery silver peep toe heels and a mass of bouncy curls, we'd give her an award if we could...
Ooh, what's this? Tess Daly in yet another fabulous frock!? It was only last week she surprised us with a stunning outfit at the Serpentine Gallery's Summer Party, and here she is again looking terrific, tanned and totally on-trend. We're loving her voluminous-sleeved dress with vampish red heels and red clutch bag. We reckon a slick of red lipstick wouldn't have gone amiss too, but still loving this lady's style at the moment!
It seems that there may be a serious contender to Emma Watson's "Number 1 Harry Potter Starlet" title. Katie Leung, who plays Cho Chang in the wizard films (and who locks lips with Harry in the latest instalment!) was also in attendance last night, looking fabulous in a heavily-sequinned dress and fantastic chunky black heels. Let the battle of the young fashionistas commence!
There is a trend that has slowly been gaining momentum in Celeb Land in recent months, and has absolutely exploded of late - that trend is pockets.
Pockets have been everywhere recently, on tops and tunics and dresses. We're not sure exactly what it is about this trend that we love so much. Perhaps it's because it's keeping our hands warm in these not-so-summery months. Perhaps it's because it gives us an extra place to store our mobile / lip gloss / ipod / chocolate... or perhaps it's just because they look so darn sweet. Whatever the reason, celebs everywhere - from Cameron to Lindsay to Eva - are onto this trend already, jamming their hands into their pockets at every given opportunity. We have serious pocket envy...
Now, we're not prone to attacks of the ol' Green Eyed Monster - but it seems to us that Jessica Biel pretty much has it all at the moment. She's rumoured to be dating the one of the world's most eligible men, Justin Timberlake. Humph. Following her appearance in The Illusionist, her career is going from strength to strength with new film I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry out here in September. Double humph. And to top it all off, she has one fantastic wardrobe. Humph, humph, humph! For last night's New York premiere of her new film she choose an incredibly flattering graphic print bandeau dress with black peep toe heels and a great white and red clutch bag. Some girls have all the luck...
Helena Christensen is another woman who's career / body / life we'd kill for. Also in New York yesterday, she attended American Marie Claire's "Fashion's Most Famous Faces" event, where she was being honoured by the magazine. Always clued up on the latest trends, the supermodel opted for a great batwing silk jumpsuit with a skinny belt, studded oversize clutch bag and a pair of silver flat sandals (well, when you've got legs as long as this, who needs heels!?).
Ok, ok, we admit it - we are absolutely, 100%, head-over-heels in love with Amanda Bynes.
We've been keeping our sartorial eye on the young actress recently, as she jets here there and everywhere promoting new film Hairspray, and we've been impressed by her fabulous fashion choices. But when we saw this picture of her at the Newark premiere looking absolutely ravishing in a dazzling silver flapper dress - very next season - we were completely convinced of her fashionability. The strappy heels complete the look (hey, even if your premiere's held in what looks to be a school auditorium, who says you can't look utterly glamorous!?) and her black nail varnish is tres en vogue. If this girl isn't the next Hot, Young Thing we'll eat our sequin beanie hat.
God bless Victoria Beckham. Just when you think she's got no tricks left up her sleeve, she does something like Victoria Beckham: Coming to America and reaffirms herself as a mega-star, fashion icon - and actually quite a cool gal.
If you didn't see the programme on ITV1 last night, let's recap - VB is on a mission: to find a pad for la famille in LA whilst endearing herself to the US public and establishing herself as an all-American superstar - all in 5-inch stiletto heels. Fabulous.
So what gems of knowledge did we glean from the hour long programme? Well...she's actually funny. Really funny. Seeing her march into the LA coffee shop that celeb blogger Perez Hilton uses as an office (and who has called her, amongst other things, an "alien"), shaking her boobs at him and proclaiming "they're not as big in the flesh" had us on the floor. She laughs - Posh Spice LAUGHS! This in itself is a revelation, being accustomed as we are to the lip gloss-tastic pout she wears religiously in pap shots. She and David really are still very much in love - they were all "love you", "love you too" and impossibly sweet with one another. And she's a simply fabulous dresser - but you knew that already.

Thanks to the celeb-studded Live Earth, there's a real buzz around the issue of global warming at the moment, with big carbon emmissions a massive no-no. If you haven't got the message yet, it's time to listen up - this season, green is the new black.
Just yesterday, in the office, we were discussing the innate gorgeousness of the world's highest paid supermodel - Brazilian beauty Gisele. Then we saw these pictures - of her celebrating the launch of Dolce and Gabbana's fragrance 'The One,' in New York yesterday, and became more envious (if that's possible). Shining, honeyed locks, luminous tanned skin and a body-con corseted satin dress with simple accessories and killer metallic heels created a tres fabulous look. These days Miss Bundchen can afford to be picky about her projects - she recently denounced cat walking (I mean really, who could be bothered with all that hard work?) and is rumoured instead to be continuing her film career in Angels and Demons (the follow up to the Da Vinci code), and U2's latest music video. It's a charmed life.
ASOS.com's junior graphic designer Neha Prashar, 23, has impeccable fashion credentials, having joined us fresh from the design department at Chanel. For laid back daytime office chic she dons her favourite Miss Sixty jeans and All Saints leather jackets (she's always the first to try on any new ones that land in the office). For evening she opts for O.P.I nail polish and a so-very-now colour block dress, like this one picked up in Milan. Her accessories also hail from exotic locations - her Guess watch was a recent purchase in Dubai and her scarf the result of a jaunt to Miami. Neha's latest ASOS.com purchases include copious amounts of bangles (she has an unhealthy addiction), jewel platform shoes and the sexy v-back knotted top. A true fashion star.
Another weekend, another splattering of celeb-studded shindigs to catch up with! And there's plenty to be updated on, so we're just going to dive straight in...
Rock and Republic celebrated 5 years in business with a suitably quiet affair (if you believe that, you'll believe anything...). Titled the "Rock and Republic 5-Year Anniversary Blowout", the 3-day extravaganza played host to a bevvy of celebs. The most notable attendant was Paris Hilton, back on the party scene after having proclaimed to have "changed her life forever" after her jail stint (again, if you believe that...). Wearing a great navy embroidered dress with a wide jewelled belt and headband, the socialite was joined at the party by Nicole - no, not Ms Richie of "Paris 'n' Nicole" fame, but Pussycat Dolls lead singer and soon to be solo artist Nicole Scherzinger, who sported a short (and rather see-through) white lace dress.
Meanwhile, Amanda Bynes continued her whirlwind world tour promoting new film Hairspray by attending the launch of the Hairspray jewellery range held at Kitson in LA. The 21-year old starlet is rapidly establishing herself as Hollywood's hottest new young thing, having worn a string of brilliant outfits of late. This one was no exception - a polka dot mini dress with lace insert, worn with killer black patent heels and impossibly-shiny hair. One to watch, we thinks...
Across town in Beverly Hills, Mary-Kate Olsen attended a showbiz event looking as teeny-weeny and perfect as ever. We're massive fans of this electric blue mini dress - such a good colour on her - with a great snake belt, peep toe heels and coral nail varnish.
Over on the East coast, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week continued, with the Swim Miami 2008 collections showing. Songstress and reality TV star Jessica Simpson launched her own-branded swimwear range with a colourful catwalk show, choosing an ocean blue and green maxi dress for the photo-call with the show's models (a daunting task even if you are one of the world's most beautiful women). The collection itself is everything you'd expect from Jess - fun, flirtatious and more than a little sexy. We can't wait to get our hands on it.
Not fair, not fair, not FAIR! We are getting seriously peeved at the distinct lack of summer going on at the moment - especially seeing as though we spent pretty much all of April getting excited about the impending sun, meticulously planning our summer wardrobe, gazing out of the window at the 
rain and knowing one day, not too far away, we would be sunning ourselves in parks, enjoying bar-be-ques with friends and would be able to throw on a dress and flip flops in the morning without giving a second thought to "should I take a coat just in case?".
Well, the weather's gone a put a spanner in the works of that fantasy. But it's not all bad news, for the doom and gloom appears to have kick started a hot new trend - summer jackets. Perfect for throwing on over that sun dress you are absolutely determined 
you will wear, with just enough substance to ensure you don't catch a chill, celebs are going cuckoo for short and sweet jackets at the mo. Whether you go for cheerful, bright shades like Sienna Miller and Victoria Beckham or more classic styles à la Cameron Diaz and Fergie, a good summer jacket will see you through the summer months and into the autumn. And we can only image what the weather will be like by then...
The Beckham's looked in fine form as they waved 'adios' to the UK yesterday, jetting off to their new home in LA. For the nine hour flight David opted for a sensible jeans-n-tee ensemble, while Vic, as always, chose style over practicality in a tight black dress, Louboutin spike heels and obligatory over sized sunnies. Meanwhile a shoot of the couple by photographer Steven Klein, in glossy US fashion magazine W is sure to be causing shock waves between the LAGS (the partners of the LA Galaxy players) which include glamorous models and actresses - one of whom worked with Vic's pal Katie Holmes on Dawson's Creek. So raunchy are the shots (they pose in a series of steamy clinches, clad just in their underwear - and not much of that) we couldn't help but gasp at the sight of them! Look out LA, Queen Victoria has arrived.
Style starlet Alexa Chung has come a long way from dubious beginnings - she was Mike Skinner's girlfriend in The Streets' 'Could Well Be In' video, and shared a kiss with Holly Valance for her single 'Down Boy.' But dating fashion photographer David Titlow, and being a successful model in her own right (before launching her presenting career) evidently taught Miss C a thing or two about oh-so-chic offbeat style. Whether she's at the Royal Academy's summer exhibition private view, or braving the storms at T in the Park, Alexa always hits the right note with her edgy femininity. She's currently working long pendant necklaces, strapless shapes with gentle volume (a la Lanvin) and an effortless mix of high street clothing alongside designer bags. They should call it Alexaworld.
Pale and interesting was the order of the day at yesterday's legendary Serpentine Gallery Summer Party - and when we say "pale and interesting" we're not talking about their skin tone (indeed, it seems a deep, golden tan is still very much de riguer in World Celeb). No, we're talking about their choice of frock, with the starlets in attendance looking heavenly in shades of white, cream and beige. The annual event, held to raise funds for the modern and contemporary art gallery, always attracts a glamorous, jet-set crowd (tickets cost £200 a pop, thank you very much) and this year was no exception with a bevvy of models and actresses (and Geri Halliwell) turning out...
Jade Jagger looked as cutting edge as always in a great Daz White draped dress that really showed off her amazing tan (that's what you get for spending all summer in Ibiza, then) and added a jolt of colour with a pair of teetering (what else would you expect from the party girl?) red heels. Meanwhile, Geri Halliwell continued the boho look she's been working of late in a white chiffon gypsy dress and masses of fiery curls. Hollywood actresses Diane Kruger and Thandie Newton added a touch of A-List glam, both opting for full-length frocks. Diane, who turned up on the arm of current boyfriend Joshua Jackson (AKA Pacey from Dawson's Creek - jealous? Us!?), wowed in a lightweight knitted number, whilst Thandie shone in a ruched-bodice metallic gown. But amongst all these big name, world-renowned stars, it took a UK TV presenter from Stockport to take our "Best Dressed" prize. Tess Daly (that's right, Tess Daly - of guffawing on tele with Bruce Forsyth fame) looked absolutely stunning in a golden beige puffball dress with purple heels, a gold clutch and a new chunky fringe. Who'd of thunk it!?

We Say - Yes, it’s Hermione from Harry Potter. Or rather Emma Watson, a name we predict will be hot news in the not so distant future. Having matured in the full glare of the public eye, Emma’s fashion sense could have strayed down the “I-Don’t-Give-A-Damn-How-I-Look-I’ll-Wear-Sweatpants-And-A-Tatty-Tee-If-I-Like” route à la one Ms. Church – praise be then that the 17-year old actress appears to be developing into one wizard dresser. Whilst we’re not sure about the odd tasselled detailing and strange strap-like-things on this dress, the colour is great on her - top marks for mixing things up in flattering navy rather than black - and the puffball shape is quite simply AMAZING, revealing just enough of what are a great pair of legs. A pair of jewelled strappy heels would have given the outfit extra oomph, but we’ll forgive her that. She’s a beautiful girl with a bright future ahead of her – and we’ll definitely be keeping our fashion eye on her.

Miss Watson appears to have swapped the old dull wizardry robes for a truly spectacular puffball dress. The deep blue frock and matching court shoes suits the young star's colouring, drawing on her golden tresses and accentuating her small frame. The waist detail, straps and chunky ring add pretty detail to what could have been just another boring strapless dress. I think her outfit makes a fantastic statement - she no longer wants to be seen a frizzy-haired Hermione. With a dress like this Emma will definitely cast a spell over many admiring gents; she's an up and coming fashionista worth watching.
After a relatively celeb-less UK premiere last week, the LA Hairspray premiere was an altogether more star studded affair, with the full cast plus other celebrities taking to the red carpet.
Female leads Michelle Pfeiffer and Amanda Bynes both turned out looking stunning in similar pale coloured bandeau dresses. Michelle chose a slim-fitting belted cream number and could have passed for Cameron Diaz's older sister with her age-defying figure and beach babe blonde locks . Teen star Amanda meanwhile opted for a more voluminous off white frock, worn with strappy gold heels and a deep tan.
Our real star of the evening, however, has to be Cat Deeley. Since leaving good old Blighty for sunny LA she's been endearing herself to the American public, and with outfits like this one we can see why. The Brummy lady looked stunning in a shimmering gold sequined dress worn with strappy tan sandals, a thick gold bangle and big teardrop earrings. Our love affair with Ms. Deeley continues...
Meanwhile over in New York, Sienna dropped in on the Late Show with David Letterman looking as fabulous as ever. Upon arrival she modelled a beautiful full dress from the Twenty8Twelve collection she designs with her sister Savannah, which will be stocked online at ASOS.com from the end of August (we've had a sneaky peak at the collection and it's as amazing as you'd expect!). On leaving the studio, it was all change as she stepped out in a figure-hugging black dress and a pair of black ankle strap sandals. We're pleased to see she's scrapped the full-on eyebrows she sported this weekend!
